This may be a little long, but....here goes.

It all started way back with XP.  I had a blind I thought was pretty well finished, well it was working.  Had an unusual frame, 3rd party plugins (which were working), etc.  I decided to upgrade to Vista Home.  Well, same blind with my third party menus still working for me, but could not get the Vista logon buttons to show (which were now skinned for Vista), nor my go buttons for ie to show.  At this point had someone test the blind and they said everything worked.  Hum, not for me, nor anyone else's Vista blind on the logon buttons.  Well, decided to try ultimate and still no logon buttons, go buttons and lost my third party plugins.  Well....the saga continues.

In the meantime, had re-formatted my granddaughter's computer with Vista and she was no longer able to play her favorite princess game (which worked on my computer).  Well, definitely couldn't have her on my computer, so thought I would just purchase another computer and give her mine (secretly hoping my blind problem would be resolved).  And....

Got the new computer up and going (which has Vista Home), installed all my programs and applied my blind.  Yeah, I got my go buttons, but..would you believe it....I lost my start menu.  And my third party plugins still don't work.  Hum, I thought.  Applied other Vista blinds and everything was ok.  And, so.......I'm wondering, does my 20" monitor make a difference graphic wise I thought.  Hum, couldn't be if other blinds work.  Is it my animated menu graphics which worked before on ultimate not working on Home, no that couldn't be as it worked before on Home.   Well, at this rate, maybe I can get everything working by 2020 (is that a magical number I wonder?).

Have you tried right clicking on the shortcut and setting it to run in WindowsXP mode under the compatability tab?

Yup, didn't work at the time.  Oh, well, she got a new computer and was happy.
